City of Grafton American Flag visits Grafton Elementary - The Grafton Elementary Gymnasium was a perfect spot for the 40' x 80' flag to dry out after the weekend's strong winds and heavy rains. It was an honor to host the flag at our school. More pics on our FB page @graftonelem

Thank you Mia Zimmerman and Mrs. Kolkmeyer at JCHS for designing and printing the elementary students a map of Jerseyville. It works great for our Sphero challenges. The second grade students in Mrs. Desherlia's class tested it out today and they loved it. They did find it very challenging to stay on the road and not wreck. Programming the robot using rate, time and angles is not easy, but with the help of the a protractor they did get to their destination.

From the classroom to the operating room, East Elementary students in Mrs. Snyders’, Mrs. LeBlanc’s, and Mrs. Fessler’s classes performed surgery on contractions. Students enjoyed the opportunity to become doctors for a day. In true doctor attire students wore gloves, masks, and doctor coats all while extending their knowledge about contractions.
Thank you Mrs. Smith for all your hard work putting this learning opportunity together. The students loved it, were very engaged and are now contraction experts.
