The Lady Panthers are CHAMPIONS. Tonight they clinched the Lady Redbird Girls Basketball Tip-Off Tournament with a 45-28 victory over Breese Central. Way to go Lady Panthers!

From the classroom to the operating room, East Elementary students in Mrs. Snyders’, Mrs. LeBlanc’s, and Mrs. Fessler’s classes performed surgery on contractions. Students enjoyed the opportunity to become doctors for a day. In true doctor attire students wore gloves, masks, and doctor coats all while extending their knowledge about contractions.
Thank you Mrs. Smith for all your hard work putting this learning opportunity together. The students loved it, were very engaged and are now contraction experts.

JCHS Girls Basketball defeats Mater Dei Friday night: 63-53. They will play Breese Central for the Championship of the Lady Redbird Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday at 7:30 pm in Alton.

Mrs. Heineman’s class hosted their friends and families for a beautiful Thanksgiving dinner with all the “fixins” and lots of love! What a great day!

Third Grade students at East Elementary raced dinosaurs this week. The students measured their stride and compared it to that of a dinosaur. Students love it when math and science can be applied and hands on.

Mrs. Schroeder's classes at JCHS have collected funds to fill the food pantry and provide food baskets to families in need this Thanksgiving. Her classes raised close to $1200 for the cause. We are truly thankful for our generous students!!
