Newly elected 7th grade class president Kate Hudson, vice president Adam Coffman, and cabinet members Ari Leslie, Kiley Pickel, Emmy Stamper, Caleb Pickel, and Morgan Gray met with Dean of Students, Mr. Leslie, today to present ideas to make the student experience at JCMS even better!


JCHS Girls Basketball season came to an end tonight. Highland beat the Panthers in the Regional Championship Game: 51-31. The girls finished 24-7, 8-2 in the MVC. A season to be proud of!

Jersey County Health Department Staff will be at JCHS on March 11 for Juniors needing the Meningitis Vaccination required for next school year. Forms are in the JCHS office. Please contact the office if you have any questions!

7th grade students were experimenting with phase change materials in order to design portable baby incubators.




The JCHS Boys Basketball Team won in overtime at Granite City 71-66 on Tuesday night.

The Lady Panthers beat Waterloo 62-41 in the Girls Basketball Regional Competition last night. Highland beat Taylorville 75-34. The Jersey Panthers and the Highland Bulldogs will play at JCHS Thursday at 7:00.

Two JCHS Wrestlers competed in Sectionals this weekend. Wyatt Daniels finished 3rd and Zeke Waltz was a Sectionals Champ!

Congrats to the Band and Choir students selected to perform in the MVC Honor Band and Choir Festival at McKendree College this past week!




The JCHS Dance Team competed in the IDTA State Finals this weekend. The team placed 2nd in Hip Hop and 3rd in Kick. Congrats!

Students in Mrs. Toni Goetten's 7th grade literature classes worked on argumentative writing this week. They competed in group debates on school related topic. All debates were extremely close!



The JCHS Scholastic Bowl picks up wins today against Mascoutah and CM and loses a close one to Metro East Lutheran.
