
Jersey 100 schools will be closed on Monday, October 10th, in observance of Columbus Day, and there will be no school on Tuesday, October 11th, for Staff Professional Development.


BUILDING BRIDGES - 7th Grade STEM classes have been busy building toothpick bridges this week! Students worked together in groups and were assigned a role as a Project Manager, Architect, Accountant, Carpenter, or Transportation Chief. Each group must collaborate to construct the strongest bridge. Next week will be a competition to see which bridge will support the most weight! Excellent work, 7th Graders!

JCHS students in Mr. Kimble's English class participated in the anti-bullying day initiative in conjunction with World Bully Prevention Month. Students on campus have been asked to wear blue and, when they are off campus, to post pictures of themselves and share to their social media sites with #BlueUp.

Our 5th grade students participated in the National Great Rivers Research and Education Center’s Water Festival.
Each year, NGRREC’s Water Festival is flooded with hundreds of fifth grade students and their teachers for a fun-filled day of educational activities and interactive demonstrations. Hosted with the help of local partner organizations, the annual Water Festival offers over 30 hands-on activity station promoting water resource awareness as well as canoe rides and fishing.
Participating teachers attend a one-day teacher workshop in advance of the festival where they are introduced to concepts of water resources management and big river ecology. Teachers also receive free materials and resources to incorporate water education in their classrooms.





The Birth-to-Three Program hosted a Meet and Greet with Jersey County’s very own Safety Pup! Thanks to Jersey County Sheriff’s Department and Safety Pup!

JCMS Panther Kidz Club had a fun class planting succulents today with Ms. Shannon! The kids loved it and had a great time.



We had some tough pickleball competition and created some beautiful rolled paper artwork at BtB today. Thanks to Judy Fritz and Candy Wagner for leading our JCHS students in these amazing activities!

West Elementary students are LOVING the Panther Kids Club! We are so thankful for our community partners! Last week Jennifer Lyles of the JCH Wellness Center played fun outdoor games with our students to get them moving! Thanks so much Jen!

JCMS PE classes are going to Lion’s Club Park this week to utilize the new Pickleball courts and Fitness Court! These facilities are a great addition to our Jerseyville Community!

West Elementary Pre-K students in Mrs. Keubrich's class give a huge shout out to our neighbor, Casey's!!! They donated sugar cookies and Mrs. Keubrich's students LOVED decorating them to look like apple trees to go with their current literacy unit on Apples.
