JCMS E Sports! This week at JCMS, we are finishing up E Sports try-outs for our competitive gaming team. Coached by Mr. Sleik and Mr. Kirby, the team will practice and compete after school on a daily basis. The team will compete in three seasons this year with the first season being Rocket League - “a high powered hybrid of arcade-style soccer and vehicular mayhem!” Students will be learning about team work, sportsmanship, as well as skill development. We are very thankful for the grant funding that has allowed JCMS to offer this opportunity to our students!

Intro to Design students have been learning to double crochet PUMPKINS! For most, this is their time crocheting ever! Students also learned about the creative design process which explains when learning a new skill that is difficult, unfamiliar, and frustrating, it’s easy and common to quit. Most are “hooked” now! 😉
