
JCMS English-Language Arts
Students in Mrs. Goetten’s 7th grade ELA classes at JCMS have been working hard on drafts and peer edits of their pros/cons essays!




Students in Mrs. Mitchell’s and Ms. Meyers-McGee’s classes at JCMS cooked a Thanksgiving feast on Tuesday complete with turkey, pies, mashed potatoes and all of the fixins!

What a GREAT day at West Elementary! First graders participated in a Thanksgiving Day parade to entertain our kindergarten students. Kindergarten students got to partake in the annual "Thanksgiving Feast." We are so thankful for our students, families, and staff at West!





JCHS had five students play at the ILMEA District IV Jazz Festival. Congrats to Merris McDuffie, Amber Samples, Gavin Goff, Eli Hetzel & Chris West. We're proud of you!

JCMS Science
Students in Mrs. Wittman’s 7th grade science classes participated in a plate tectonics boundaries lab today where they modeled the boundaries with graham crackers and icing. Who knew science could be so delicious?





JCMS’s 6th grade took a fantastic field trip to the St. Louis Science Center today.





Jersey Panther E Sports
The JCMS and JCHS E Sports teams competed for the first time on Thursday in a Rocket League scrimmage. JCHS took the win this time, but JCMS will have their chance in a rematch soon!

Local pilot, Chris Dohrn, volunteered at JCMS Panther Kids Club after school program to teach the students about aviation on Thursday! The kids made their own paper airplanes and participated in a flight competition! Thank you Mr. Dohrn!!

There will be no school for Thanksgiving Break on Wednesday, November 23rd, through Friday, November 25th. School will resume on Monday, November 28th.

The 10th annual Wounded Warrior Run was held at JCMS today. Students raised a total of $8500 to give to the Jerseyville & Grafton American Legions. We are so proud of these students. Top fundraisers were 5-Aubrey Hargrave, 6-Josie Mann, and 7-Mason Burney (not pictured).

Absentee/Retake Day Picture Day is:

Wagner Portrait Group will be at school to photograph any students who were absent on the initial picture day or any student that needs his/her picture retaken. If you are having a picture taken as a RETAKE, please make sure your student returns their package in its entirety, including the package insert sheet, to the photographer on retake day. (Feel free to attach a note to describe what you’d like us to do differently.)


As part of School Board Appreciation Day, we are shining the spotlight on our Jersey CUSD 100 School Board Members for their commitment to our students and staff. Thank you to the seven dedicated volunteers who serve on our local school board! They play a crucial role in the education of our children. Please join us in saying thank you to Greg Brown, Dave Bryden, Andy Carey, Jeff Goetten, Kyle Graham, Peggy Perdun, and Jake Warford.


JCHS Advanced Welding conquered a challenging request by Sydenstricker Nobbe John Deere. The team built a ramp that is designed to crank up and down for loading/unloading lawn mowers for the dealership. It was a complex project and these boys got the job done!


LCCC Industrial Electricity and Process Operations Programs is having an Open House at their top notch facility located on the Nelson Campus in Edwardsville THIS THURSDAY!
