JCHS hosted a heartfelt ceremony to honor the courageous individuals presently serving or who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. This event has evolved into a cherished tradition in Jersey 100, and the outstanding efforts of JCHS students and staff were truly commendable. We extend our sincere gratitude to our guest keynote speaker, Dr. Lori Hopkins, and would like to acknowledge Dr. Jason Brunaugh, Mr. Brad Kimble, Ms. Margaret Bear, Mrs. Erin Bittles, as well as the dedicated staff and students at JCHS for their unwavering commitment to making this event a reality. On Halloween, the JCHS National Honor Society hosted a dress-up day and costume contest as part of their Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF project. Students and staff were encouraged to “Add some meaning to their Halloweening.” by donating at least $1. In addition, several NHS members also went door to door that night to trick-or-treat for spare change. All donations will help the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) respond to crises, deliver vaccines, and ensure education in 190 countries and territories. Winning costumes were chosen in the following categories: best group, best duo, funniest, most creative, and best look-a-like. In total, NHS raised over $400 in donations.
