Recently, Jersey 100 librarians and digital coaches attended the annual Illinois School Library Educators' conference. Not only did they hear from many amazing authors and speakers, they also got to present a breakout session of their own about the amazing things happening in our Jersey 100 libraries! The final highlight of the conference was Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias keynote speech on the importance of the freedom to read.

JCHS Foods class had a special guest speaker: Mrs. Chelsea Stuckey, owner of The Pink Spatula.
During this demonstration, Chelsea shared her expertise on cookie decorating and students learned some incredible techniques for turning plain cookies into edible works of art!
A big thank you to Mrs. Chelsea Stuckey for taking the time to share her passion and knowledge with us. It was a treat to say the least! 🍪

Happy World Occupational Therapy Day!
Today, we celebrate the incredible work of our very own Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, Mckenzie Dixon.
Mckenzie, we're incredibly fortunate to have you on our team. Your efforts and contributions have made a world of difference, and we can't thank you enough!

Mrs. L. Heitzig’s class created Fact Family Communities today in Math! Students had to get their “house plans” (fact family) approved before they made their house. Students then worked with their team to create a community. Students drew roads, stores, hospitals, movie theaters, animals, football fields, airports, and schools to complete their community!
