Yesterday's Reading in the Park was fantastic! Mr. Tim Harmon, a seasoned member of the Jerseyville fire department for a decade, read "Spark the Firefighter," shared essential fire safety tips, and showcased his firefighter gear. Clifford, the Big Red Dog from the Jerseyville Public Library, joined us, and Mrs. Droste from the Jersey County Arts Council guided everyone in creating fire-breathing dragons. We also held exciting raffles with prizes, including our read-aloud books, 3D-printed items by Kelly Miller, and gift certificates from Big Boy’s Donuts. Mark your calendars for July 10th at Red Hawk Park—we look forward to seeing everyone there!

Last week JCHS hosted its annual tennis camp. Young players enjoyed a great week of skill building, competition and learning to play as a team. The future of JCHS tennis looks bright!

Sign up for the JCHS Volleyball Camp. The camp will begin on Tuesday, June 25th and will run through Thursday, June 27th.
JCHS Bowling Summer Practices to be held every Friday, except for July5th, this summer at Tri-County Bowl. Practices will run from 10:30am-12:30pm. Any incoming Freshman-Seniors who are interested in joining the team are strongly encouraged to attend these sessions.
Jersey Athletics is excited to announce a change to the JCMS Football playing season. JCMS will join the other small schools in the MEAC and play middle school football in the spring beginning the 2024-25 season. More details will to come. JCMS Football will not play this fall

Anna Dial, a recent 2024 JCHS Graduate, won the Grafton American Legion's essay contest, "What Does Memorial Day Mean to Me?" In addition to a cash prize, she was asked to be a speaker at their Memorial Day service held on May 27, 2024 at the Whalen-Hill, American Legion Post 648 location. Congratulations Anna!
