Ms. Anderson and Mrs. Eickoff's students were treated to a special day by having Chief Warrant Officer 5 Eickoff visit the classroom. He showed the students what MREs are. They all got to try and pick up his very heavy vest! They also recited the Pledge of Allegiance for him as they stood tall like a soldier themselves!

First graders wrote thank you notes to our local veterans. Ms. Beauchamp's dad Greg, a veteran of the United States Army, will deliver them to other local veterans at the Veteran's Day Parade on Tuesday. The parade begins at 10:00 am Tuesday, Nov. 11 with a ceremony at the Jersey County Courthouse.

Ms. Beauchamp’s class enjoyed the lovely weather in the Mary Siemer Outdoor Classroom by having a munch and read to celebrate reading 100 books in class!!

JCHS Seniors took a campus tour of SIUE! This well-coordinated event is led by SIUE employee and Jerseyville native, Katie Green. The great JCHS Class of 2026 has their wheels turning about what is next for their post-secondary transition after graduation.

The JCMS 5th grade girls’ basketball team recently wrapped up their first-ever season—and what a season it was! With an impressive roster of 21 players, the team competed in an intramural league that featured a fast-paced 3-on-3, full-court transition style of play.

What an amazing start to what’s sure to be a bright future! We can’t wait to watch this talented group continue to grow and to see the Lady Panthers program thrive alongside them.

Have you heard the news? JCHS improved our Illinois School Report Card rating by 12% this year all the way to 92.66! In a true team effort, we have made drastic improvements in all areas including: Graduation Rate, Freshman on Track, English Proficiency, Math Proficiency, Attendance, and more! JCHS is now ranked in the top 11% of all high schools in Illinois!!! This is a testament to our students, families, faculty, staff, board of education, and community! It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Jersey Panther!

Jersey 100 had great representation at the ILMEA District IV festival. Congrats to Karliah McDonald, Peyton Eich, Lainey Williams, Emmy Rothe and Joe Heitzman who performed in the Junior Choir and to Harmony Jantzen and Lana West who performed in the Junior Band. Congrats to JCHS Band members who performed; Carter Butler, Abigail Wedig, Payton Mooney, Jayden Greham, and Islee Hileman. Congrats to JCHS Choir members who performed; Zoey Barnett, Jeremiah Kanallakan, Anna Beauchamp, Reese Crotchett, Benjamin Zimmerman, Abigail Piazza, Chloe Hartman, Daphne Slusser, Kimberlee Ford, and Willow McCoy. Way to go!
