Dancing Dinosaur Sighting at East Elementary - Look out for the Dino-mite Readers!
The third grade at East Elementary kicked off a new reading curriculum this week in which the focus is on dinosaurs. To celebrate our first full week of school, teachers surprised their students with a dinosaur dance.

Thank you to Jersey State Bank, Jerseyville Banking center, Los Tres, and Kerry Skinner at Capstone/Hardee’s for providing prizes for summer Professional Development. Teachers at Jersey 100 spent time this summer improving their technology integration skills during this Professional Development. When teachers completed training, they were entered for prizes. Over 50 prizes were passed out on the teacher’s first day. We appreciate the support of the local businesses.
We would like to congratulate Dr. Julie Geers for earning her Doctorate in Educational Leadership while working full time in our Guidance Department. Dr. Geers was awarded the Outstanding Doctoral Capstone Award for her cohort. Way to go Dr. Geers!

JCHS would like to welcome Mr. Morgan to the faculty. Mr. Morgan is illustrating how the Newline Interactive Board works and reviewing the syllabus with his 8th hour Business Concepts Class. Welcome Mr. Morgan and students, this is going to be a wonderful year!
Mrs. Gaffney’s 6th hour Chemistry Class is "positively charged" about getting back to school. The students stated that they like to hear chemistry puns, periodically! Welcome Back!
