Jersey County Against Drugs and JCHS welcomed local law enforcement this week to promote safe driving for their "Don't Text and Drive" initiative.

The kindergarten classes at West Elementary celebrated Earth Day yesterday with some extra special goodies! Bayer donated t-shirts, goodie bags, tomato plants, and milkweed plants for each student in kindergarten! It was so nice to teach our students about the importance of taking care of Earth while using hands-on materials. A HUGE "Thank You" goes out to our friends at Bayer!

Happy Earth Day! 🌎 In effort to spread joy, students are hiding Kindness Rocks around our county to spread joy on our piece of the planet. If you spot a rock, we hope it brings a smile to your face!😊 We encourage you to move the rock to another LOCAL location or just let it be!

JCMS 5th grade students and teachers had an awesome day of learning as they celebrated Earth Day! Guest speakers from Pere Marquette and The Nature Institute came to teach students all about wildlife and conservation. Students also participated in activities throughout the day to reinforce these values. It was a great day to be a JCMS 5th grader!

The East Elementary fence had been yarn bombed! This cheery masterpiece is a collaboration between Mrs. Heitzig’s Design students, Mrs. DeSherlia’s 2nd graders. A special thank you goes out to community members Michelle Scharfenberg and Brandy McCoy who created crochet pieces to accompany the efforts of JCHS Students, and all those who donated yarn to this project too!
