JCMS 8th Grade Recognition Reminder
The JCHS Boys Basketball Team wins its first game of their Mid Winter Classic Tournament. Down by 13 early, the Panthers come from behind to beat Cahokia 53-49.
Boys Bowling finished 2nd at Danville Regional. They have qualified for the Alton Sectional next Saturday. Congrats Panthers!

Jersey Scholar Bowl Team wins 2 of 3 today! The Panthers beat EAWR & Columbia, but fell short to Granite City.
JCHS Panther Wrestling fans:
The Wrestling Tri Meet scheduled for this Saturday at JCHS has been canceled. The team will be wrestling at Metro East Lutheran on Monday.
Attention Class of 2026 students and parents! The orientation for parents is virtual this year. An email will be sent to parents today via skyward that will contain links to the orientation video presentation. SFHG parents will receive the same email from Dr. Cramsey. Stay tuned!
Jersey Community High School Principal, Mr. Cory Breden, is pleased to announce that 23 students from the JCHS graduating class of 2022 have been designated as Illinois State Scholars.
The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC), the state’s college access and financial aid agency, presents this important recognition of academic achievement to exceptional Illinois high school students annually. This year, more than 17,340 honorees join the other outstanding students who have been honored since the designation was first introduced in 1958.
In an exciting, hard-fought game, the Panthers battle to come from behind but fall one point short. Highland over JCHS 51-50.
The JCHS Dance Team will pause their season due to an increase in positive Covid-19 cases. All Dance competitions and practices will be canceled during the temporary pause. Coach McCreary will inform the team when practices may resume.

JV and Varsity are playing at Civic Memorial this Friday night, January 14. The Freshman game has been canceled.

The Freshman game will still be played at 5:30.

JCHS Boys Basketball is hosting a visit by the Harlem Wizards Basketball Team on April 22. More information will follow when tickets become available.

Gillespie is unable to field a Girls Varsity Team for basketball tonight. There will be only a JV game at 6:00 at Gillespie.

Southwestern is unable to compete in Boys Basketball on Tuesday, Jan 11. The game has been rescheduled for Thursday, Jan 27.
