Big congrats to Grant Morgan who earned a WOW Award from the STL High School Musical Theatre Awards for his performance as Simeon in Joseph! WOW awards are given to students who can't otherwise be nominated for their performance, but the judges feel are deserving of an award.
Congrats to Jim Arbuthnot who was meet champion in yesterday's MVC Track Meet! Ken Hall placed 3rd in the discus & Drew Bertman placed 3rd in the 800! Way to go guys!

This week, one of our board members received a phone call from a Calhoun citizen who "wanted to express how thankful and amazed the citizens of Calhoun are that students from JCHS have been sandbagging. Students from Hardin and Brussels high schools naturally are vested in the effort, so it was great to see young people from Jerseyville helping the community."

Mrs Lair's 7th grade STEM students at JCMS are learning string art design. For the majority of students, this is their first experience sewing. Students chose a design, made a pattern on card stock, and sewed with a needle and thread. Time and patience was the key to achieving the end product.
West Elementary staff and their families participated in the "Kids Shouldn't Have Cancer" Foundation ButterFlutter Run on April 27. Our team ran to honor West student Kailey Almeter. Kailey recently underwent surgery and is doing great! Thanks so much to all who participated!
