
Mrs. Heineman’s class hosted their friends and families for a beautiful Thanksgiving dinner with all the “fixins” and lots of love! What a great day!





2nd grade students at East Elementary collected enough items to donate 16 Thanksgiving dinners to JCHS Student Council’s Thanksgiving Dinner Basket Challenge. This was an awesome display of kindness and generosity from our students and their families!

From the classroom to the operating room, East Elementary students in Mrs. DeSherlia’s, Mrs. Campbell’s, and Mrs. Weinmann’s classes performed surgery on contractions. Students enjoyed the opportunity to become doctors for a day. In true doctor attire students wore gloves, masks, and doctor coats all while extending their knowledge about contractions.

Third Grade students at East Elementary raced dinosaurs this week. The students measured their stride and compared it to that of a dinosaur. Students love it when math and science can be applied and hands on.

Mrs. Schroeder's classes at JCHS have collected funds to fill the food pantry and provide food baskets to families in need this Thanksgiving. Her classes raised close to $1200 for the cause. We are truly thankful for our generous students!!


Congratulations to Katelyn Krueger who will be playing soccer for Lincoln Trail College. Her family, coaches, and teammates celebrated with her today at the signing table.




Thanks West Elementary First Grade Families!!!! First grade students and their families participated in a food drive and donated enough food for 8 Thanksgiving baskets and LOTS of extras! Thanks so much everyone!!!!


Mrs. Mossman's 8th Grade Science classes donated canned goods and money for the Thanksgiving Basket Challenge to benefit our local food pantry and families in need. Very proud of these kiddos!

Congratulations to the JCHS FFA Ag Sales team! They placed 2nd at District competition and will be advancing to State Competition in December. Team includes: Curtis Shively, Brenden Marshall, Anna Poppe and Tyler Welsh.


Mrs Heineman’s class at JCMS is making caramel corn for the 5th grade behavior reward! Mr. Leslie taste tested and said “These kids should go into business - delicious!”




These West Elementary students are SUPER excited about the elementary wrestling program!!!


Reminder. Jostens will be collecting graduation order forms tomorrow morning during first period in the JCHS cafeteria.

Grafton First Graders Celebrate Reading Achievement ~ First graders in Mrs. Lumma's class celebrated their reading achievement as measured with Istation with an "I"ce Cream party. All students scored in the highest tier for overall reading skills.


Grafton Elementary second grade doctors performed contraction surgery. It was a great lesson in language arts and career exploration. See more pictures on FB at @graftonelem


JCMS Volleyball try-outs will start on December 2nd from 3:30 to 5:00 pm in the JCMS small gym. All athletes must have a current physical on file in order to try-out.

Data Driven instruction at East Elementary.
The teachers at East are using data to provide the appropriate instruction for all students. The teachers have all set goals and can't wait to record student achievement.

Beth Johnson, a local community member, came to Advanced Design at JCHS to tell about her and show her passion for quilting. She returned to teach these students about Locker Hooking. She volunteered her time and materials to teach these girls and we can’t thank her enough!
