Penny stacking fun! 1st graders at Grafton Elementary tried a Minute to Win It challenge: stack pennies with gloves, left hand only! Teamwork makes the dream work! We saw amazing collaboration and determination! It was a great lesson in problem-solving and having fun together.

IESA Jerseyville Wrestling Regional JCMS Panthers win the Regional Championship! The Panthers qualified a record 24 wrestlers for the Vandalia Sectional next week. Their 394.5 team points was the best of any team in the state of Illinois! JCHS Family & Consumer Sciences program is thrilled to announce our newly enacted chapter of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America! Today, students competed at the FCCLA Section 8 competition. Individual scores were awarded in categories including Fashion Display, Apparel Construction, Children's Toys, and Cake Decorating. Illinois FCCLA State Competition is held in April and these ten students will be in attendance. Next year, this club will be open to all students enrolled or previously enrolled in FCS coursework.

The Jersey CUSD #100 Board of Education recognized our 18 Illinois State Scholars and their families this evening. They were each presented with $7,000 scholarships by the trustees of the Edith Catt Trust - Jersey State Bank president Mark Schaefer, Superintendent Brad Tuttle, and Principal Thomas Leslie. Congratulations to these bright and talented JCHS seniors!

Congratulations to these Jersey CUSD #100 outstanding educators who have been selected by the Illinois State Board of Education for "Those Who Excel Awards!" They will be recognized by ISBE at the Those Who Excel Banquet in Bloomington on May 17th, 2025. ISBE - 31st Annual - Those Who Excel Awards Award of Meritorious Service Educators presented with the Award of Meritorious Service have gone above and beyond in service to their school communities. They are experienced educators who take on leadership opportunities and whose accomplishments uplift the culture of learning in their school. They stand as exemplars of their profession and have become integral members of their schools and districts. Award of Special Recognition Educators who receive the Award of Special Recognition are valued members of their school community who have been recognized by their colleagues, students, families, and administrators for the skills, passions, and talents they bring to their school community.

JCMS CHEER TRYOUT UPDATE! Due to inclement weather, JCMS Cheer tryouts have been moved.

All JCMS Activities are cancelled for today due to inclement weather.

Due to outlying hazardous road conditions and extreme temperatures, Jersey 100 will be using one of our eLearning days today, February 18th - due to exhausting all of our traditional snow days. Please expect communication from teachers and principals through the Remind or Seesaw platform, or Google Classroom for our older students. Elementary students received packets in preparation for such a day and should refer to those and messages via Seesaw from teachers regarding expectations. Middle and high school students can use the Chromebooks and google classroom to complete expectations, to check in with teachers, and communicate regarding questions or meet virtually through Google Meets per the teachers instructions. All of our teachers are available to email or communicate virtually though Remind, Seesaw, email, or Google Meets between the hours of 9am and 2pm. Please stay safe and warm.

The JCHS Band hosted their annual Jazz Dinner Show. It was a great evening of music from the JCHS Jazz Combo, 8th Grade Jazz Combo, and the JCHS Jazz Ensemble.
