JCHS Wrestling hosted a quad match that included Cahokia, Roxana and Mascoutah. It was a special night as we honored Jaydon Busch on Senior Night. The Panthers finished 3rd behind Roxana and Cahokia, but placed ahead of conference foe, Mascoutah. Connor Chin finished the night with 3 pins. Jaydon Busch and Hunter Hodge each had 2 pins while Nick Hartley, Kaeden Hutchens, Riley Joseph, James Busch and Ethan Daniels each recorded 1 pin. The wrestlers are back in action on Saturday morning, 9am at JCHS. Special Congratulations to senior Jaydon Busch on his stellar career!
JCHS JV and Varsity Boys Basketball hosted Southwestern High School. The Panthers swept the Piasa Birds. The JV team won their game by a score of 54-40 and was led by Easton Heafner with 19 points, Dax Goetten with 11 points and Hunter Herkert with 8 points. The Varsity team found themselves down at halftime, but played a great 2nd half to win by a score of 52-45. The Panthers were led by Jaxon Brunaugh with 15 points, Francis Vogel with 12 points, Easton Heafner with 9 points, Drake Goetten and Tanner Brunaugh with 6 points and Logan Meisner with 4points. The Panthers travel to CM on Friday for a conference matchup.
The 7th and 8th Grade Boys Basketball teams hosted Jacksonville Middle School in the JCMS Tournament. The 7th Grade team lost to Jacksonville 39-23 and the 8th grade team dropped their game to Jacksonville by a score of 36-15. The JCMS Panthers have the night off and will continue their tournament play on Thursday and Friday.
The JCMS Volleyball teams traveled to Greenfield to take on the Tigers. Both teams lost their match. The 7th Grade team lost in 3 sets while the 8th grade team lost in 2.
