Many Panther teams were in action over the weekend.
The JCHS Bowling teams had a successful weekend! Friday, they hosted Roxana and defeated the Shells. The Boys were led by Danny Towell with a 654 series and Jacob Elliot with a 631 series. The Girls were led by Abigail Benz with a 437 series and Corree Yates with 431 series. On Saturday, the boys traveled to O'Fallon, IL to compete in the O'Fallon Panther Challenge. The Jersey Panthers took 1st place!
The Varsity Dance team competed in the Edwardsville Competition on Saturday. They took 2nd place in the Hip Hop competition and qualified for State!!!!!!!!
The Girls Varsity Basketball team hosted Carrollton on Saturday. The Panthers played an exciting game and downed the Hawks by a score of 52-41. This is the Panthers 6th win in a row, improving their record to 13-7. Tessa Crawford led the way with 20 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Meredith Gray scored 13 points and had seven rebounds. Cate Breden added eight points and Cali Breden scored seven points. The Panthers are back in action tonight as they host Gillespie for a 6pm tipoff.
The Boys Basketball program was in actin on Friday, hosting the Triad Knights. The freshman team dropped their game. The JV team played an exciting game that came down to the wire. The Panthers beat Knights by a score of 57-56. They were led by Easton Heafner with 16 points and Aiden Taylor with 14 points. The Varsity team lost their game by a score of 23-53.
