The Panthers hosted the Triad Knights last night in Bowling and Girls Basketball. The Varsity teams swept the Knights. Tyler Ayres led the Boys Bowling team with a 655 series followed by Danny Towell who bowled a 641 series. The win improves the Boys record to 14-3. The Girls Bowling team were led by Khloee Hall with a 641 series and Lila Wayne with a 430 series.
The Varsity Girls Basketball team won an exciting game against Triad in Havens Gym. Cali Breden knocked down a three pointer from the corner with under 30 seconds on the clock to give the Panthers a 1 point lead. Following a Knight turnover, Cate Breden was fouled and sent to the free throw line. She converted both free throws to extend the lead to 3. The Panthers defense held on to their three point lead with a good defensive set to deny a three point opportunity for the Knights.
The 7th and 8th Grade Boys Basketball Teams traveled to Gillespie. Both teams were victorious over the miners. The 7th Grade team had a dominant win by a score of 39-8. The 8th Grade team won by a score of 19-10.
