Jersey Athletics Results from 9/13
The Girls Tennis team continued their success on the court by beating Jacksonville High 9-0. Keep up the great work ladies!
The Girls XC team bested the field at the Southwestern XC event and took 1st place! Taylor Woodring finished in 2nd place and Chloe Kallal took 5th. The Boys XC team was led by Griffin Williams who took 1st place and had a personal best time of 16:27. Logan Wade placed 3rd.
The Boys Soccer program traveled to CM last night for a conference matchup. CM beat Jersey 6-0 in the Varsity match, but the JV squad finished with a tie, 2-2.
The Boys Golf team traveled to Alton to take on Alton High. The Boys droped the match by a score of 216-162.
The Girls Golf team hosted Marquette and Dupo High School at Westlake Country Club. Jersey finished in 2nd. Low scores were shot by Jerra LaPlant and Bria Tuttle who both shot a 45.
The F/JV/V Volleyball teams each lost to Waterloo. Varsity lost 22-25 and 18-25. Jersey was led by Adrian Blasa with 9 assists and 8 digs, Grace Shalley with 3 kills, 1 ace and 1 dig and Kendal Davis with 2 aces and 8 digs. The ladies competed hard and represented Jersey well.
The JCMS Softball team won their first Regional Title last night! They hosted Mt. Olive and won 15-0 in 3 innings. The Panthers will take on Edwardsville in their sectional game. Game time is 9am on Saturday at Edwardsville High School.
The 8th Grade Football team hosted Highland last night. The Panthers beat the visiting foes from Highland. The final score was 30-18.
