Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Nears 1,000 Enrolled Children in Calhoun, Macoupin, and Jersey Counties
The beloved, nationally recognized Imagination Library is making a big impact locally—nearly 1,000 children are now enrolled in Calhoun, Macoupin, and Jersey Counties.
This free literacy program, offered through a partnership between the Regional Office of Education #40 and the Calhoun Community Foundation, is supported by local school districts and the State of Illinois. Each month, children from birth to age five receive a high-quality book delivered right to their home, fostering early learning and a lifelong love of reading.
Launched just four months ago, the program already boasts 951 enrolled children, aligning with a statewide initiative championed by the Illinois State Board of Education.
