The JCHS Male Student Athlete of the Month for January is Hunter Herkert. Hunter is a junior on the JCHS Boys Basketball team.
Herkert scored a career high, 14 points, against Cahokia in the JCHS Midwinter Classic. His timely three pointers and great defense effort was instrumental in the win against the Comanches. Herkert was also the 2nd highest scorer for the Panthers throughout the Midwinter Classic.
