Sectional Champs

The JCHS Girls Tennis team wrapped up their 1A IHSA Sectional Tournament and brings home hardware for the trophy case.  Today is historic day in Jersey Athletics as the Girls Tennis team wins it's first ever Sectional Championship.  It was an all around team effort en route to the title.  All of the JCHS entries earned points to secure the title.  Tessa Crawford and Elise Noble are the second doubles pair to win a Sectional title in Jersey Tennis program history and Libby McCormick is the programs first student athlete to win a Sectional title in singles play.   Congratulations to the team and Coach Diamond.  The ladies depart for Chicagoland on Wednesday to compete in the IHSA State Tournament.

"This is a special group of kids, and I'm not surprised that they made a lot of history for our program.  Winning Conference, qualifying five players for State, and winning a Sectional doesn't happen very often at any school.  I'm extremely proud of these young ladies and I look forward to them playing in Chicagoland later in the week!" - Coach Dan Diamond

Congratulations, ladies!  Jersey 100 is proud of you!
