NGWSM

February 28th marks the last day to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Month.  It's important to continue to advocate for female sports and celebrate the progress that has been made in sport for women.  We have incredible young women that wear Jersey Panther uniforms throughout the year.  We also have terrific women in coaching positions leading these programs.  We want to thank everyone who has advocated for our girls' programs and student athletes.  We want to honor all the women who have paved the way for female sports, especially in Jersey 100.  We will continue to advocate for our young women and celebrate their successes on and off the field.  We will conclude our NGWSM posts with two quotes from two current Jersey 100 coaches.

"Girls' sports have come a long way.  It is nice to see all of the opportunities girls have now as opposed to when I was in school. "- Julie Muenstermann.  Coach Muenstermann has been a staple in the district as a Physical Educator and Coach.  She currently is a PE teacher at JCHS and is the 7th Grade Girls Basketball Coach as well as a coach in the Softball program.

"I love seeing athletes have success.  Not all players are on the same level and when any one of them has that aha moment or makes a great play they haven't made before it's the best feeling!   Don't aspire to be the MVP, be the MVT..... Most valuable teammate!  Find a way to help your team."-Candy Wagner.  Coach Wagner is an 8th grade teacher and is the JCMS Head Softball Coach as well as a JCHS Softball assistant coach.
