In celebration of Nation Girls and Women in Sports Month (NGWSM), we are celebrating several of our student athletes participating in girls sports. Today, we will celebrate Peyton Finkes. Peyton is a sophomore at JCHS and is a member of the JCHS Track and Field team.
Peyton's quote in celebration of NGWSM is, "Something I really like about track and field is the relationships and the amazing and positive impact they have had on my life. The Track team is like a second family to me."
JCHS Girls Track and Field Coach, Kevin Strebel, had this to add, "There is no better feeling as a coach than seeing a team or athlete that works hard every day have that special victory. As we recognize female athletes this month, I appreciate all of the young ladies that I've coached who have listened, and tried to carry out a plan in an effort to achieve those moments."
